A Judge security guard costume-made for the production of Judge Dredd (Hollywood Pictures, 1995).These 'Judge Hunters" can be seen when they apprehend Judge Dredd for murder. This costume consists of a black polyester flight suit with a black rubber belt and metal badge buckle.Included is a black rubber chest piece with resin shoulder plates, a resin helmet with flip up smoke black tinted visor featuring a recessed chrome eagle, and a set of black leather boots with rubber, foam and plastic details. Please note that the gloves are not from the production.As Dredd gets stripped of Judge police medal after trial, the security guards come in to arrest Dredd and escort him to prison. Dredd then breaks out of the security escort and goes on the run while the security guards go after him and "Fergie" played by Rob Schneider.Includes a DVD of the film.77 x 27 x 12 inches

LIVERPOOL AND MILITARY INTEREST; a group of medals awarded to Ernest McConnell, including Daily Herald Order of Industrial Heroism (29th October 1959), a WWI 1914-15 Star, Territorial Efficiency Medal, four WWII medals, also two WWII medals to Private R. Mullin and J. Price.Ernest McConnell was awarded the Daily Herald Industrial Heroism Medal for twice saving men from drowning at Liverpool Docks, in December 1957 and December 1958, and the original Liverpool Shipwreck & Humane Society certificates accompany this lot. Provenance: - Consigned by a direct descendant, who informs us that E. McConnell served in both Wars, but was sent back from WWI for being underage. He was a Quartermaster Sergeant in the 8th Army during WWII. Footnote: - Only 440 Daily Herald Industrial Heroism medals were awarded from 1923-1964.

Y JEREMIAH MEYER (ANGLO-GERMAN 1735-1789) PORTRAIT MINIATURE OF A LADY oval, painted in watercolour and body colour on ivory, the sitter a young lady with grey coiffured hair in a white flounced chemise with green edging and a pink jacket, in a period locket case with shagreen cover Dimensions:10cm high, 8cm wide Note: Note: Jeremiah Meyer (1735-89) was born in Germany, son of the portrait painter to the Duke of Württemberg. He came to England about 1749 and studied under the artist Christian Friedrich Zincke. Meyer was commissioned to paint the King's miniature portrait, set in an oval of diamonds in the pearl bracelet given to Princess Charlotte as an engagement present. He also drew the King's profile for the new coinage which earned him a gold medal from the Society of Arts in 1761. He was appointed Miniature Painter to the Queen and Enamel Painter to the King in 1764. A founder member of the Royal Academy, he exhibited miniatures, enamels and watercolour drawings from 1769 to 1783. His work is noted for his linear precision, particularly visible in the hair of his sitters, and sophisticated colouring.
