Therese Zenz became 2nd in the single canoe competition on 15pm on 29. August, one and a half hours later, she won a silver medal again with Ingrid Hartmann the double-canoe in 1,5916 minutes. SwedenMedal for the Grenadiers of the Lifeguards-Bataillon of King Gustav IV. Adolf of Schweden.Silver , on yellow-blue ribbon.SVH S. 242. 53 x 47 mm, 26,8 g.Gustav Adolf was born on Novmeber 1st 1778 in Stockholm and became, only 14 years of age, already king in 1792 when King Gustav III. was murdered. Till 1796 he was under the guardianship of his uncle Karl XIII. Duing his complete reign he had a hard stand, which was made even worse due to the wars causing many casualities and bad harvests. After he was kicked off the thron in 1809 he was send into exile and his uncle Karl XIII. took the thron over. Gustaf Adolf died on February 7th 1837 in Exile in St. Gallen. At his parting in 1799 he rewarded the grenadiers of his Lifeguards-Bataillon on his castle Drottningholm the medal. After his entthronment he medal was seized and the naming on the reverse GUSTAF IV ADOLPH was changed into KONUNGEN - with which the awardees got the decorations re-distributed. Of greatest rarity. A sample of comparison is located in the Air-Force-Museum in Linköping, Sweden.Condition: II

THE FOLLOWING TWO LOTS RELATE TO THE CAREER OF BOBBY TEMPLETON Robert Templeton was born on 22nd June 1879 and started his footballing career with Irvine Heatherbell before joining Westmount Juveniles. Thereafter there were periods with Kilmarnock Roslyn, Neilston Victoria and Kilmarnock Rugby XI before joining Aston Villa in May 1898. In February 1903 he joined Newcastle United and in December 1904 Woolwich Arsenal. On 17th May 1906 Celtic signed the `Wizard of Dribble` and made his league debut in a match against Kilmarnock on 25th August that year. He won his only major trophies with Celtic when they won the `Double` in season 1906-07 before being transferred to Kilmarnock in October 1907. Between 1902 and 1913 Templeton made 11 full international appearances for Scotland and 3 for the Scottish League. In august 1913 he joined Fulham and after a brief return to Kilmarnock he retired from playing in 1915. THE FOLLOWING LOT RELATES TO THE CAREER OF RANGERS AND SCOTLAND INTERNATIONAL TOMMY `TULLY` CRAIG Tommy Craig made his League debut for Rangers against Clyde at Ibrox on 24th September 1923. In this match, he scored two goals and at the end of the season, he had scored a further 12 goals from 37 matches and helped Rangers to the Division 1 League Championship. More-or-less an ever-present for the Ibrox side during their fruitful period in the 1920s, Craig totalled 322 appearances for Rangers scoring 38 goals. He helped the side to 7 League Championship`s between 1923-24 and 1930-31 and appeared in 3 Scottish Cup finals, winning two winners medals. One of a rare breed of footballers who played for both Celtic and Rangers. Tommy started his footballing career with Tullibody F.C. (thus earning him his nickname `Tully` before joining Celtic in 1919. AIR ART.2.) in it`s original presentation case; Royal Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, George VI (FX.75964 A.W.H. SAWYER.P.O.A.R. H.M.S. MERLIN); 1939-45 Star; Atlantic Star and Africa Star together with all associated paperwork including service record papers. * Alfred William Henry Sawyer first joined the Royal Air Force on 9-6-21 serving for 12 years as a Metal Rigger before being discharged on the 8th June 1933. He then re-enlisted on the 6. Aug 35 as a Metal Rigger. He then was discharged from the Royal Air Force to the Royal Navy on the 20th March 1939. The Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was awarded on the 6th August 1938 and the Distinguished Service Medal awarded on the 19th November 1942.
A Great War D.C.M. group of four awarded to Private Samuel Thomas Lea Shropshire Yeomanry to include Territorial Force War Medal (1565 PTE. S.T. LEA. SHROPS. YEO.); Distinguished Conduct Medal G.V.R. (56713 PTE. S.T. LEA. 210/COY M.G.C.); British War Medal 1914-20 and Victory Medal (1568 PTE. S.T. LEA. SHROPS YEO.). From the 5302 SUPPLEMENT TO THE LONDON GAZETTE, 1 MAY, 1918. (30 April 1918) 56713 Pte. S. T. Lea, M.G.C. (Ellesmere). For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. `When acting as a company runner he volunteered to go back and bring in an officer who had been left behind with a badly broken leg. In spite of a cross fire from hostile machine guns and a heavy rifle fire at close range, he succeeded in bringing this officer away. He displayed the greatest courage and gallantry.

Brumwell sent from the front and dated 18/12/15 and his binoculars by Wehges in original leather case and numerous photographs.
