Keele Hall 1901-1910 silver medal d.34mm 'From Grand Duke Michael and Countess Torby'. Linked to the Russian Imperial Family he became Lord High Steward for the Borough of Newcastle under Lyme. A Victorian 1842 General Service medal (GSM) covering the Napoleonic era with St. Sebastian, Vittoria and Corunna clasps to Thos. Ash 59th FOOT. Part of the second battalion, the regiment sailed for Spain in 1808 with Thomas Ash later involved in the Battle of Corunna in 1809, Battle of Vittonia in 1813 and siege of San Sebastian. Thomas Ash returned to England in 1816 after Waterloo and ended muster on 24 March 1816
