6 Corgi Aviation Archive Falklands 20th anniversary 1:72 Westland Sea King HAS 2 825 Squadron Royal Navy including replica South Atlantic Medal. Precision Cast Classics series 1:144 Avro Lancaster and 1:72 Supermarine Spitfire in black presentation boxes. Together with a 1:144 Short Sunderland BOAC, 1:72 P51D Mustang, 1:144 Avro Lancaster. All boxed, minor/some wear/minor repairs. Cast Lancaster has small spillage on upper port wing, otherwise contents VGC.
A Third Reich enlisted man’s black wool Panzer jacket, 2nd pattern with unpiped collar, plain pink piped shoulder straps, the collar tabs with twisted pink piping and personalised metal deaths heads with red cloth behind the eyes, the lining stamped with size numbers, issue code and date “B40” (1940), the lapel buttonhole with 2nd class Iron Cross and Eastern Front medal ribbons. GC (the breast eagle appears to be a replacement)

An interesting City of London/ Guildhall medal. Obverse gilt central roundel with head of Queen Victoria surrounded by legend “Inaugurated Nov 6 1869”, below which is the red and white enamelled crest of the City of London, 2 small roundels bearing views of Holborn Viaduct and Blackfriars Bridge left and right, crown above, the whole superimposed over sword and mace. Reverse engraved “William Ferneley Allen Esq. Alderman”; with Belgian Palmes of the Order of the Crown. EF. Included with a cutting from Illustrated London News 1857 Lord Mayor’s Day Bill of Fare showing Allen then as Sheriff. The first item only illustrated Plate 1 Note: William F. Allen became Lord Mayor of London in 1867, he became the subject of some satirical cartoons when he preferred his private carriage to the Lord Mayor’s coach for his procession as the latter gave too much of a jolting ride
An interesting family group of items including two casualty pairs to brothers: Pair: BWM, Victory (41958 J Pope L’pool R) EF/GEF, with memorial plaque to James Pope; Pair: BWM, Victory (244852 Gnr J Pope RA), VF, with medal transmittal slip, and memorial plaque to Joseph Pope. A WWI army knife, label attached indicates carried by William Pope 7th Bn King’s Liverpool Regt (older brother) when he was wounded in the Battle of the Somme 26.9.1916, (knife well used and worn). Note: Private James Pope, 5th Bn The King’s (Liverpool Regt) k.i.a. 29.09.1918, France and Flanders, aged 35, commemorated at Fouquires Churchyard Ext.; Gunner Joseph Pope, “C” Bty 87th Bde RFA, died of wounds, 15.04.1918 aged 33, commemorated Mendinghem Military cemetery.

WW1 British Medal Group to Acting Matron Katy Beaufoy, Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service. This very important group contains her original diaries, original photographs, archive research, book on her life, family history as well as her decorations: Queens South Africa Medal, 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal, all with original ribbons, Death Plaque and Scroll, Princess Christian's Army Nursing Service Reserve badge, number 689, Guild of St. Barnabas Medal. Matron Beafoy was drowned after HMHS Glenart Cstle was torpedoed on 26th March 1918 by U 56.

Group consists of his TD in box of issue, War medal and Defence medal with slip, identity disks, pair of Indian Div flashes, London Rifle Brigade and Rifle brigade cap badges, plus metal Rifle Brigade shoulder titles, Indian Army pattern Parachute wing on brass pinback mount and British hand embroidered Parachute wings, printed 44th Indian Div flash, OTS MHOW brass shoulder titles, pair, Photos, paperwork, address book, maps, Officers pay book and AB64. Written account of his service. Plus his wife's (ex ATS) War Medal, photo in ATS uniform, ARP WVS badge and Red Cross badge, written account of her service etc. All proceeds from the sale to go to the Royal British Legion.
