A Royal Hawaiian Agricultural Society Medal circa 1850-57, struck in silver, obv, with symbols of agricultural wealth around a rising sun and established A.D 1850, reverse with 'Premium for the Best Exhibited' and centre panel with an engraving of a cockerel and chickens, contained in half the original case, rare The medals were ordered by the Society through the agency of a Mr Marshall Massachusetts. At the request of the Society, Marshall contacted James Ross Snowden who was director of the US mint and who forwarded the request to the Treasury Dept. The request was approved with the stipulation that the medal was struck after minute hours, and the numbers struck are unknown 82g

A group of medals for John Aubrey Ferguson RCAF Spitfire pilot 1939-45, Star, Defence Medal, 1939-1945 War Medal, Canadian Volunteer Forces Medal 411 Squadron Re-Union Medal and other badges and brooches, US Liberty and others Other Notes: John Ferguson joined the RCAF and was stationed at RAF Digby in Lincolnshire where he flew Spitfires. At Digby he courted a WAAF named Peggy. Ferguson was posted as missing presumed dead. Peggy met and married Jack Kokotailo and went to Canada with him as a war bride. Jack and Peggy returned to England with their two children but Jack was killed in a mining accident in County Durham in 1957. Some years later Peggy's mother received a letter from Ferguson's mother saying that he had been a prisoner of war. In 1963 John and Peggy were re-united and married.
