Dated Apr 1917 and Sept 1917 respectively, both with repousse and hammered decoration below a fluted rim, the first decorated with a cross medal between flags, marked Montauban, the second with a similar cross between leafy branches, marked Somme. The town of Montauban was captured on the first day of the Battle of the Somme in July 1916. H23cm.
