The outstanding WWII gallantry group to Flight Lieut Kenneth Clarrine, 90 Sqn RAF who managed to bring his crippled Lancaster home after a near critical Anti-Aircraft hit near Wesel. DFC Geo VI - 1945 dated, AFC Goe VI - 1945 dated, 1939-1945 medal and France and Germany Star, Defence and War Medals. Group comes complete with several items of ephemera including officers service and release book, other named items, photos in flying uniform. He was born 2/12/1921, called up 7/9/1942. father lived Edinburgh, commissioned Pilot Officer. Pilot DFC LG AFC LG, 13/6/1946 with 35th Squadron. An Excellent lot.

Canton, France and Germany, 1939 - 45 Medal and General Service Medal with Palestine 1945-48 clasp. A large amount of photos and documents including small diaries, Soldiers book, WWI dog tags, Jerusalem guide and various Arabian water colours, Liberation of Norway certificate etc. A rare family grouping well worth a look.
Seringapatam medal, commissioned by the East India Company in 1801, was a Conrad Heinrich Küchler-designed military medal distributed to those soldiers who contributed to the British victory in the 1799 Battle of Seringapatam against the armies of Tipu Sultan, ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore.
VC interest - A Buffs East Kent Regiment Sports/ Drill Medal named to Pte W.R. Cotter. William Richard Cotter was born Folkestone Kent 1882, was a Corpl in the 6th Battalion with the on the 6th of March 1916 at Hohenzollern Redoubt he had his leg blown off, however he carried on for two more hours giving orders to his men (See criteria)

GEOFFREY CLARKE, R.A. [1924-2014]. Silver Jubilee [HRP], 1977. Brass sculpture / art medal [double-sided relief], 4.5 cm high. With original presentation box. Clarke was commissioned by HRP to produce this to celebrate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee. Very rare – this is the only one we have ever seen. [good condition].
FRED KORMIS [1897-1986]. The CAIRD art medal [Sir James Caird]. 1984. bronze relief. Signed, 14 cm high. The Caird medal sculpture is presented once a year [from 1984 onwards] to the distinguished person giving the Caird lecture at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich and as such are extremely rare. Sir James Caird was one of the most important patrons of the museum and the library is named after him. Kormis sculpted many portraits, several of which are in the National Portrait Gallery and British Museum – he was also a fine figurative sculptor, particularly his prisoner of war memorials. EXTREMELY RARE. [good condition].
