Charles Stott saw service through the 1914-18 war serving in India and Malta, he was an excellent shot and retired as a Captain in the late 1930`s ++some service wear but overall good condition

WWII Medal and Defence medal to (Evelyn) Melita Stott, together with a letter of Thanks from Chief of the Air Staff 15/8/45. Daughter of Charles Stott, Melita joined the RAF in 1939 and rose to rank of Flight Sergeant. She served as one of Winston Churchill`s secretaries in the "Bunker" London (The Cabinet War Rooms are now open as a museum). She was De-mobbed in 1945 and sadly killed whilst crossing the road in December 1974

ZULU WAR - South Africa medal to Pte 29/922 N Naylor 58th Foot (Rutlandshire Regiment) with 1879 clasp. The regiment arrived in Durban on 4th April 1879 and on the 4th of July four companies of the regiment were engaged at the Battle of Ulundi forming part of the square. The regiment also supplied part of the escort for the Prince Imperial`s coffin. ++in good uncleaned condition, one or two small nicks, no ribbon
Chelsea 1941 War Time Football Collection: A collection of items all the former property of Deutelbaum, the Czechoslovakian footballer of the 1940s. The following items relate to the match between the British Army and the Allied Armies XI that played at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge ground on the 15th March 1941. This lot contains a match programme, Complimentary Ticket, Two menus for pre match dinner at the Criterion Restaurant on the 14th March, One signed by both teams that includes Cullis, Compton and Swift. These items are sold with a Large mounted black and white photograph of Deutelbaum presenting his team to dignitaries before match sent by the FA and comes with letter from FA hand signed by Rous. Also in the collection are Two full newspapers containing reports on matches, a picture post magazine containing an in-depth report on the game and a participation players medal in original box made by Butler & Co of Birmingham. This medal is inscribed to front “Football meetings of the allies armies in Great Britain February March 1941” and reverse “The Czechoslovak Army to its friends in the fight for freedom”. Football Medals: A collection of medals formerly belonging to Deutelbaum of the Czech Army team from the early 1940s. All three medals are stamped silver and hallmarked and made by John Taylor Ltd of London.
