He was discharged on the 17th October 1917.

Medals loose, Star possibly late official issue The Reverend Charles Hannigan is shown in the 1920 Royal Navy List as the Roman Catholic Chaplain at the Naval base at Rosyth Chaplain for Submarines and Shore Establishment.
Royal Australian Regiment Vietnam Medal Pair. Awarded to 217726 Private Michael Donnelly. Comprising: Australian Vietnam Medal, “217726 N. DONNELLY”, South Vietnamese Campaign Medal, (Privately Named). Medals loose. Michael Donnelly was born in Liverpool 1941 and originally served with 104 Signal Squadron, then the 4th Bn Royal Australian Regiment, before transferring to the 1st Bn. He served in Vietnam between May 1968 and February 1969. Please note the medal is with initial N, the service record shows the name Michael.

Private James Walker landed in Egypt on the 30th August 1915, he later transferred to the Western Front and was Killed in Action on the 9th April 1917. He is remembered on the Arras Memorial.

COLLINS 2ND BN R.W. SURREY R”, India General Service Medal 1895, bearing two clasps, “Punjab Frontier 1897-98”, “Tirah 1897-98”, “LIEUT COL J.S COLLINS 1ST BN RYL W. SURR REGT”. The group remains mounted with original ribbons as worn by the General .... Uniforms:#11;Generals Scarlet tunic of regulation pattern, with rounded collar. Retaining bullion shoulder cords with Major General rank and to the left breast provision for wearing medals. The interior with quilted silk lining. Scarlet and bullion remain fresh, minor age wear ... Frock coat of regulation pattern, dark blue cloth with purple velvet facings to the collar and cuff, the shoulders with bullion cords with Major General rank insignia. Some overall moth holes .... 1902 Pattern Officer’s service dress tunic. Tailored with the correct stand and fall collar, these with scarlet gorget patches indicating a General Officer of the Headquarters. The shoulder straps with Major General rank badges and complete with General’s pattern buttons .... General Peaked Cap. A superb early example, with Generals bullion cap badge and two rows of gold bullion oak leaves to the peak ... Generals pattern Field Service Side Cap. Complete with bullion cap badge ... trousers and overalls plus a quantity of hot climate uniform, mess kit etc ... Contained in original uniform tunic, retaining newspaper lining for 1907. Overall GC (Large quantity). Major General John Stratford Collins CB was born in 1851 at Wythall, Ross, Herefordshire. He was commissioned an Ensign in the 2nd Foot in 1869 and Captain in 1881. Lieutenant Colonel Commanding the 1st Battalion Queen’s Regiment 1896 and Colonel 1898. He commanded the Battalion from 1896 to 1901. Major General 1903 and in 1906 was Inspector General of Volunteers India. In 1907 he was commanding the 2nd Division at Rawalpindi when he fell ill and died the following year 1908. He was created a Companion of the Bath in 1905 and was twice Mentioned in Despatches. The trunk of uniforms was acquired by the vendor at the auction sale of the contents of Wythall Hall on the 24th June 1969 for the grand sum of £12. The original catalogue and receipt remain with the lot. The medals were reunited with the uniforms at a later date. A photograph of the Gernaral accompanies the lot
WW1 Royal Horse Guards / Guards Machine Gun Regiment. Group of Three Medals awarded to Jewish Recipient. Awarded to “1815 TPR W. LUPINSKY R. H. GDS”. Comprising: 1914/15 Star, “TPR R.H. GDS”, British War Medal, Victory Medal, “TPR R.H. GDS”. Medals loose ... Accompanied by a small quantity of research. Trooper Wolf Lupinsky was born in Middlesex and enlisted into the Royal Horse Guards on October 1914, he embarked for France on the 18th May 1915 and on the 16th September 1916 was wounded. He rejoined his Regiment on the 31st October 1916 and on the 10th May 1918 is noted as transferring to the Guards Machine Gun Regiment. He returned to the UK in February 1919.

He landed in France on the 2nd May 1915 and was discharged on the 21st March 1918.

Small Irish Silver medallion ... etc. Company Sergeant Major Frank Beazley landed in France with the South Irish Horse on the 18th of December 1915. He later served with the Royal Irish Regiment.
German Third Reich Medal for the Annexation of the Sudetenland (Czechoslovakia) 1st October 1938. A good cased bronze example with ribbon retaining brooch pin fitting. Housed in its dark maroon case, the lid embossed with gold eagle and swastika. VGC ... in the case there are also two stick pins, one a double award of the Iron Cross the other a DLRG member’s badge. Imperial German Important Uniform of Prince Karl Anton of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen A very rare example, worn by the Prince in his capacity as a Major General in the 1st Garde Uhlan Regiment. Dark blue tunic, with detachable white parade rabatte, mounted with a double row of plain silvered buttons. To both the cuff and collars silver bullion Garde pattern litzen and to the shoulders silver bullion box pattern epaulette of Major General rank. The left breast with loop provision for both breast Orders and medal bar. Complete with silver bullion waist belt with gilt metal clasp. VGC ... Accompanied by an original Carte-de-Visite Photograph showing the prince in military uniform, signed 1896 ... Also a postcard showing him and his wife Princess Josephine of Belgium. Prince Karl Anton of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen was born in 1868 he was the youngest son of Leopold, Prince of Hohenzollern. He married Princess Josephine of Belgium in 1894 and served during the Great War in the Garde Uhlan and Garde Dragoon Regiments. He died on the 21st February 1919.
WW1 2nd Bn King’s Royal Rifle Corps 1914 Star Group of Three Medals. Awarded to “1171 PTE W.C. PIKE K.R.R.C.”. Comprising: 1914 Star, with slip on clasp, British War Medal, Victory Medal. The group is accompanied by a Regimental Cap Badge, Comrades of the Great War badge and a selection of original photographs. Private William Charles Pike was a pre war regular soldier having joined the KRRC on the 30th July 1914. He was discharged as a result of wounds on the 13th February 1918. A number of photographs show William wearing the Old Contemptibles lapel badge. He died in 1953.
1st Bn Cheshire Regiment India General Service Medal, clasp “Chin-Lushai 1889-90” Awarded to “1590 PTE H. HYRONS 1ST BN CHES R”. Suspension slightly slack Private Henry Hyrons, a native of Birmingham enlisted on the 20th March 1895. He was discharged in 1897, this appears to be his only medal entitlement.
Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers Queen’s South Africa Medal & British War Medal. This pair of medals were awarded to Private Alfred Clinton. Comprising: Queen’s South Africa Medal, three clasps, “Orange Free State”, “Transvaal”, “South Africa 1902”, “4482 PTE RL INNIS FUS”, British War Medal, “4482 PTE R. INNIS FUS”. Medals have been lacquered. Private Alfred Clinton enlisted in December 1893, still serving in 1914 he landed with the regiment 0n the 23rd August 1914, thus entitled to a 1914 Star Trio. He was discharged on the 19th December 1915 due to the termination of his second period of service and age of 41 years. He was discharged with the Silver War Badge.

A cased silver Cambridge University Athletics Club medal and shield by D Munsey silversmith, won by E H Wilding of Pembroke College for 120 yards handicap in a time of 12 3/5 sec in 1894 and a similar bronze medal and shield won by E H Wilding Pembroke College for the 100 yards race in 1895. Provenance: by direct descent to the present owner Catalogue Note: Eustace Henry Wilding (1873-1939) lived at the family home of Wrexham Place, Stoke Poges, nr Slough, Bucks, after studying at Cambridge he was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps (special reserve), was a member of the Rhododendron Society and an author of books on Rhododendrons, E H Wilding was father in law to James Foulis Hay (see above lot)
A WW2 mentioned in Dispatches six medal campaign group awarded to Lt. Commander James Foulis Hay RNVR (b. 27.3. 1912 d. 26.4.1972), with matching set of miniatures, ribbon bars, George VI and Queen Elizabeth Coronation medal with matching miniature and a cased silver athletic medal for 2nd prize in a 1928 school 1 mile race at the Glasgow Academicals Club Provenance: by direct descent to the present owner. Catalogue Note: James Foulis Hay, son of Sir David Allen Hay studied at the Glasgow Academy, 1919-29 and is mentioned in the school's Roll of Service, he entered home service in 1942 and in North Africa 1942-3 as a Temporary Lieutenant on the Naval Staff. He is listed as serving on HMS Hannibal, a shore based naval establishment that was commissioned at Algiers in 1943. It was at this time he was mentioned in Dispatches for services after their ships had been attacked by aircraft in the London gazette 21st Dec 1943 (Slough). He was demobed in 1946 as a Lt Commander
