AN OFFICERS TUNIC & TROUSERS. A Brigadier of the Royal Artillery's No 1 uniform complete with trousers and Battledress Blouse.. Medal ribbons for the DSO-CBE- 1939/45-Africa-Italy-France & Germany Stars. Defence & war Medal also a 1953 Coronation medal. Kings crown buttons in exceptionally well stored condition.
SFOR MEMORABILIA. An SFOR fighting knife and scabbard with Ceske Republiky markings and SFOR on the scabbard. The black hard plastic grip and 5.1/2" bowie style blade, with stainless markings etc. Cloth patches for SFOR include a N Zealand Armband, Black Hawk sleeve badge, Czech sleeve badge, B Coy LdSH (RC) . Metal badges include Malcon 111 SFOR (Malaysian) SFOR medallions x 2, etc. A copper Mostar Plaque, of the famous bridge 15" x 12.1/2". SFOR were a NATO led multinational force, stationed in Bosnia and Herzegovina from December 1996. To deter hostilities and stabilize the peace, at first during Operation Joint Guard, later during Operation Joint Forge 1998-2004. Stationed in the Barya Luka region, later taken over by Nato Forces. Awarded the Armede Forces Expeditionary Medal, also the Nato Medal.
AN RAF IGS 1908-1936 GROUP OF FOUR MEDALS. An India General Service Medal bar North West Frontier 1935, named to 511160 LAC L G Price RAF. Gordons states that only 20 Sqaudron received this clasp. A two bar 1936 India General Service Medal, North West Frontier 1936-37 and North West Frontier 1937-39. Named to 511160 Cpl L G Price RAF. Gordons also confirms that the personnel of 20 Squadron RAF received both clasps, if so entitled. It was though only the ground crew who qualified for the second bar. A WW11 box of issue containing Defence & War Medals, addressed to L G Price Esq, White House, Drayton, Taunton. (Air Ministry). See Illustration
A LSGC RN GROUP OF SEVEN MEDALS OF WW1 & WW11. A 1914/15 Star, British War & Victory Medals named to J.24790 P Whitfield AB RN (polished). A George V Long Service Good Conduct Medal, named to J. 24790 P Whitfield L.S. RN HMS Revenge. (The four mounted for wear) 1939/45 Star, Defence & War Medals unnamed as issued, mounted for wear. An original photograph of Petty Officer Percival Whitfield dated 1933, also his Certificate of Service and other original documents. Including his discharge in August 1945, his Trade Certificate as Director-Layer of Gunnery 1917-1935. His Gunnery History Certificate, etc. Born at Winfrith Dorset 20th December 1895, he enlisted for 12 years aged 18 years old in 1913. During the Gt War he served on HMS Prince of Wales, it was the 22nd of February 1931 that he was awarded his LSGC. This whilst serving on HMS Revenge, among many other appointments he served on HMS Castor, HMS Tiger, HMS Warspite, etc. During his service he was also paid Prize Fund on several occasions. Retiring in 1945 it is possible he may have been entitled to further bar/s on his LSGC medal. HMS Revenge a Battleship was launched in 1915, some 31,000 tons and 8 x 15" Guns. A range of 7000 nautical miles at 10 knots, seeing action in both wars including The Battle of Jutland , she was scrapped in 1948. HMS Prince of Wales was commissioned in 1904 and had 4 x 12" main armnament , weighing some 15,000 tons. She saw service in WW1 in the Dardenelles at Gaba Tepe and Anzac Cove landings. Later served in the Adriatic Sea, before being scrapped in 1920.
