The bear of typical form with wool stuffing, remnants of original mohair present and orange/black glass eyes. To the front of the bear is an original Royal Artillery uniform button and a 1939-45 Star medal with ribbon. Further provenance lost through time. Bear measures approx; 42cm tall.

The postcard was sent to the present owners grandfather, Dick being his younger brother. Dick Boyd stayed in South Africa until his death in 1930.
