A group of seven medals awarded to `1685755 Cpl (later Sgt) M Sumner RAF` comprising the 1939-45 War Medal, 1939-45 Defence Medal 1939-1945 Star, the Air Crew Europe Star with France and Germany clasp and combat rosette, Elizabeth II General Service Medal with Malaya clasp, campaign service medal with Radfan clasp along with the Royal Air Force long service and good conduct medal, all mounted on bar within a pouch and with accompanying photographs and documents (7) In our opinion the Air Crew Europe medal in this group is in fact a replica. As you will see from the documentation and photographs he was entitled to the medal, so perhaps the original was lost.
