Third Reich Police 18 Year Long Service Cross, good example of the frosted silver long service cross / medal for the German Police. Award is housed in the original green card case of issue with silver leaf 18 to the middle of the lid. Medal retains the original ribbon with embroidered Police emblem.
Third Reich Police 25 Year Long Service Cross, very good example of the gilt metal long service cross for the German Police. Medal is complete with its original ribbon which has machine embroidered golden police eagle to the centre. Housed in its green leatherette box with gilt tooled 25 in wreath to the centre of the lid. All of the finish remains to the award.
1939 Knights Cross of the Iron Cross by Steinhauer & Luck, fine example of a Knights Cross with much of the original frosted silver finish to the award frame. Nearly all of the finish remains to the centre of the award. Non-magnetic centre. Frame stamped ‘800’ under the ring. Flaw in the frame between the 6 and 9 o’clock arms, associated with the ‘B’ type frames, also the dented row. Award loop has the rounded ends. Accompanied by a piece of Knights Cross medal ribbon. Complete with medal ribbon, original printed paper packet with makers details to the reverse and original issue tissue paper.

R.A. “ Some light contact marks.Charles Underwood was born in the parish of Pottern, Devizes and attested for the Royal Artillery on 6th November 1868. Most of his service was at home and his long service medal was awarded whilst serving with 10th Division Coastal Battery. Not entitled to any other medals.
1916 Battle of the Somme Killed in Action Medal Pair to the 24th (2nd Sportsman’s) Battalion Royal Fusiliers, British War and Victory medals, “E-2471 PTE. P. BROWN R. FUS.” Born in Fulham, Patrick Brown was living in Rayleigh Road, West Kensington when he attested for the Royal Fusiliers. He was killed serving with the 24th Battalion when they attacked the German lines between Serre and Beaumont Hamel on 13th November 1916. The Battalion suffered 22 Other Ranks killed, 6 died of wounds and 164 wounded during the attack. Patrick Brown is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France. Entitled to a pair only, his brother, 60971 Gunner James Brown 5th Divisional Ammunition Column died on 18th June 1918.

Great War 1919 Casualty Medal Pair to the 25th (County of London) London Regiment (Cyclists), British War and Victory medals, “2863 PTE. F.O. BRYANT 25-LOND. R.”, mounted as worn on pin back bar. Frederick Oliver Bryant was a 20 year old Civil Service Clerk living in Brainfield Road, Wandsworth on the 1911 census. He served in the 25th (County of London) Battalion London Regiment (Cyclists) on the Frontier Region of India between 26th May 1917 and 16th August 1917. On his return to the UK, he died of illness at the War Hospital, Southampton on 4th March 1919 and is buried in Wandsworth (Earlsfield) Cemetery.

Alexander Davison’s Medal for the Nile 1798 in Gilt Bronze, unnamed as issued. Edge bears the usual inscription ‘A TRIBUTE OF REGARD FROM ALEXR DAVISON, ESQR ST JAME’S SQUARE’. Medal issued to commemorate Nelson’s victory on 1st August 1798. Bronze-gilt medals were issued to Petty Officers. Medal weight 41.6g.
Victorian Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to the Coast Guard, narrow suspension, awarded to “WM. HY. CLAMP, BOARMAN, H.M. COAST GUARD”. Good condition. William Henry Clamp was born in Kings Lynn, Norfolk on 17th October 1855. He entered the Royal Navy as a Boy 1st Class on 1st January 1873 with service number 50813, he transferred to the Coast Guard Service on 1st January 1882. Pensioned off on 11th May 1894. He does not appear to have qualified for any other medals.

R.”, Territorial Efficiency medal GV, “200075 C.Q.M. SJT – A.W.O. CL.II T.W. CUMMING 4-E. YORK. R.” Thomas William Cumming served in both the 6th and 2/4th Battalions of the East Yorkshire Regiment. The award of the Territorial Efficiency medal to Quarter Master Sergeant Thomas William Cumming was announced in Army Orders May 1922.
