WW2 German Army & RAD Labour Service Wehrpass and Document Grouping, all issued to Eckardt Rasch, consisting of armed forces issue Wehrpass with RAD uniform photograph to the inside. He began his military service with Infantry regiment 103 and then served in various other units until he served from 1943 in a transport training battalion. He was awarded the War Service Cross 2nd class with swords, RAD long service medal and the Eastern Front medal. Interesting it is noted that he was trained with hand grenades as well as various guns. Denazified cover to the wehrpass. Accompanied by various documents relating to his service with the RAD including his well used RAD Dienstausweis book, linen RAD personal ausweis with uniform photograph to the inside and his RAD Arbeitsdienst pass with uniform photograph. A Great War 1918 German Spring Offensive killed in action pair of medals to the Cameron Highlanders, British War and Victory medals, “8579 PTE. G. WATSON CAM’N HIGHRS”. George Watson from Kilmarnock, Ayrshire served in France from 19th December 1914. He was killed in action in the opening days of the German Spring Offensive on the 24th March 1918 whilst serving with the 5th Battalion Cameron Highlanders. During the fist week of the German offensive the Battalion suffered casualties of 14 Officers and 224 Other Ranks. George Watson is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial, France. Also entitled to a 1914-15 Star medal for his service during the war.
A Great War pair of medals to a Private in the Seaforth Highlanders who was killed in action in May 1915, British War and Victory medals, “10438 PTE. C. GOLDIE SEA HIGHRS”. 30 year old Charles Goldie from Lanark, Lanarkshire landed in France on 12th October 1914 and was serving with G Company 1st Battalion Seaforth Highlanders when he was killed in action on 9th May 1915 during the attack at Rue du Bois. His body was never recovered, and he is remembered on the Le Touret Memorial, France. Also entitled to a 1914 Star medal.
