W P Warnock Oxf & Bucks L.I.), and GV Meritorious Service Medal (swivel type) (28750 Sjt W P Warnock 1/Oxf & Bucks L.I.). MBE L/G 21/1/1916. MID L/G 10/5/1945. MSM L/G 3/1/1920 'for services rendered with the British Forces in North Russia, Archangel Command'. One of only three Archangel Awards of the MSM to the Regiment. Anti-German WW1 Protests interest a Police pair, Edw VII Coronation Police medal and Geo.V 1911 Police Coronation medal both named PC H Godsell X Div and PC H Godsell, with a few named School medals for his son ?, plus a faded Postcard photo of Policemen, He arrested a Pte George Gray of the Middlesex Regt who had broken a plate glass window of a German named bakers shop in Goldborne Rd North Kensington. Distinguished Service Medal GV named 170358 A F Miller PO.1.CL Siege Guns Belgium. (possible official correction to 'IU' of Belgium). With French Croix De Guerre 1914-1915. A Rare early Land Operations DSM to Albert Ernest Miller from Middlesbrough. At the outbreak of WW1 he was serving on HMS Mars but in Feb 1915 was sent to Belgium. His DSM is for Gallantry in April 1915, he was also Mentioned In Despatches August 1915 and awarded the French CdC 2/7/16. Wounded during an Air Raid on Dunkirk 10th July 1916. DSM L/G 7th August 1915 when in charge of a Naval Gun 28/4/1915 he helped remove ammunition from a burning building under heavy and well directed hostile artillery fire. GVF (2)

Pearson, Royal Engineers: Very impressive and rare Great War Palestine operations DSO group of twelve, Pearson who won a brace of "mentions" for the Boxer Rebellion, signed on behalf of Great Britain the treaty concluding the work of the Anglo-Liberian Boundary Commission in 1903, and afterwards embarked on a long and distinguished career as a Director of Surveys in the Sudan: but it was for his services as a Liaison Officer to the Arab Forces at Jeddah in 1916-17, which post had earlier been occupied by Lawrence of Arabia, that he was awarded the 2nd class of the Order of El Nahda, a rare distinction for a British Officer, and his DSO. Distinguished Service Order, GVR., silver-gilt and enamels. India General Service with bars Punjab Frontier 1897-98, Tirah 1897-98 (Lieut., R.E.), China 1900 with bar Relief of Pekin (Lieut.., Bl.
