Ashton, issued by the Cheltenham Golf Club, the silver medal dated April 20th 1905, the others July 1895 and April 1901 Note: T K Ashton was the first Gloucestershire County Champion and possibly Founder Member of Cheltenham Golf Club. Cheltenham Golf Club was formed on lower slopes of Cleeve Common in 1891. In 1902 they were joined on the course by the Cheltenham Town Golf Club later to be renamed Cotswold Hills.
