British Army Waterloo Medal named to Thomas Cullimore 51st Regiment of Foot, designated as 51st Light Infantry Regiment, with a copy of pages from his Regimental Pay Book and notice of his death in a provincial newspaper reading 'Thomas Cullimore an old inhabitant of the village of Rudgeway (Nr Thornbury) died at the age of 81 years. The deceased was for seven years previous to the memorable battle of Waterloo (in which he was wounded) a soldier in the British Army and saw a good deal of service during the French War, the last engagement in which he served being that of Waterloo, where a cannon ball passed through the cap he was wearing and wounded him on the top of the head'

A 19th Century continental white metal circular box, the lid with bright cut detail inscribed 'JK', housing four white metal tokens bearing German text/verse relating to pride before a fall featuring a fox to reverse, unmarked, box diameter 3.5cm, also a hallmarked silver double sovereign case (af) and a silver curb link pocket watch chain with T-bar and fob medal, approx 3.8ozt/120g. Additional InformationThe sovereign case badly af, lid badly split and overall heavily dented, continental box with some light impacts, scratches and nicks, the pocket watch chain does not have a fastening link, has been broken off or lost so will need attention, further usual wear.

A 19th century Thomsons Prize Medal crinoline or hoop skirt support (used by Victorian ladies to support the large dresses worn), an embroidered silk parasol with decorated bamboo handle, a large light blue silk square embroidered with gold and blue birds and edged with black silken embroidery, a large cream linen embroidered cloth and three pairs of long ladies' button trough kid gloves (7).Additional InformationThe hoop skirt is in good condition, as are the gloves. However, the silk squares have significant fading and staining and deterioration. The parasol has numerous rips and signs of deterioration.
