Group to 522 Pte Adam Whitehouse 2/Highland Light Infantry, recorded in the London Gazette 6th Oct 1882 as Dangerously (Wounded) and being shipped back to England on the "Courland", originally reported as Killed In Action. He is believed to have later died of his wounds although this is not confirmed. Medals - Egypt Medal dated 1882 with Tel-El-Kebir clasp, and 1882 Khedives Star. MBE Ladies issue in original case (Civil) with Award Scroll, various congratulation letters, and the original letter from the Prime Ministers Officer notifying her of the recommendation, to Mrs Lillian Maud Evans of Welling, Kent, on 2/1/1956 for her work with the Conservative Party. Military Medal group to 31507 Pte J G Housley Welsh Regt (MM named 76174 Pte T G Housley `A` Bn: H.B. MGC) (note incorrect initial, but Medal Cards confirm). MM Awarded for Messines June 1917. A Bn Tank Corps for conspicuous gallantry and sustained good work displayed on the morning of June 7th 1917. (1st Day Messines when they blew the ridge up) under heavy shell fire. During the difficult crossing of the Damme Strasse by No 3 Co this man gallantly worked on unditching and guided several Tanks across the ground. Even though he was knocked over by a shell he still continued to work. MM L/G 28/7/1917. lot also includes a silver engraved cigarette case "Presented to Pte Thomas George Housley by the employees of A. Hamilton & Sons Ltd, Victoria Foundry, Cardiff. As a token of their appreciation of his Gallantry in Winning the MM 2nd Aug 1917". (4+1) GVF
Olympic interest 39-45,Africa & Italy stars,War medal with an interesting archive of sports medals and paperwork relating to Max Jacobs a Sportsman & Solicitor who was selected for the 1936 games but being Jewish his parents stopped him going.He lived in Cardiff and attended Cardiff University studying law. Died in 2009 aged 91. Needs viewing

Rare Casualty group to Lieut Douglas Watson 6th & 8th Bn`s Royal Highlanders, later Black Watch, Killed 26/4/1941. Medals - BWM & Victory Medal, GVI Special Constabulary Medal, Defence Medal plus original Casualty Scroll named to Constable D Watson, Norfolk Special Constabulary. Born Aislaby, Nr Whitby, lived Arlington House, Arlington Lane, Norwich. On the 26th April 1941 he was in the Ferry Inn at Horning, Norfolk, when it received a direct hit from a lone German Bomber, 22/3 people were Killed, and 8 injured while they were drinking at the bar, 3 of the killed were RAF pilots from RAF Coltishall. Watson at the time lived at The Croft, Horning and is buried at Smallburgh. GVF-EF (4)

Group 2) BWM & Victory Medal to 132324 Pte Charles Sallabanks MGC (Infantry) Killed 8th June 1918, buried Fere-Champenoise French National Cemetery. Both groups come with original paperwork and Charles`s group includes letters about his death. EF (5)
