A family group of WWI and WWII medals comprising a group of four Boer and WWI medals awarded to Private J W Scott 3700 2nd Dorset Regiment (Boer medal) and later Wiltshire Regiment 204276 together with his two sons WWII Service medals and a replica of the Malta George Cross 50th Anniversary medal, cloth badge and bar.
Family group of WW1 medals awarded to GS-8801 PTE. H. HODGKINS R. FUS. to include British War Medal and Victory Medal in original box of issue together with a written note from the London Infantry Record Office stating that Private H. Hodgkins was also entitled to the 1914-15 Star, together with Memorial Plaque together with `The War Graves of the British Empire - Boulogne Eastern Cemetery France` in which is listed; HODGKINS, Cpl. Harry, 8801. 11th Bn. Royal Fusiliers. Died of wounds, received at Thiepval, 20th Oct., 1916. Age 21. Son of John William and Maria Elizabeth Hodgkins, of Shraley House, Audley, Newcastle, Staffs. VIII. D.145. together with British War Medal and Victory Medal awarded to 61685 PTE. J.B. HODGKINS. N.STAFF.R. in original box of issue together with Memorial Plaque.
Two medals presented to a Lieutenant G.E Moss, the Great War for Civilisation medal and the 1914-19 medal and a medallion presented In Token Of Lincoln`s Gratitude Served In The Great War 1914-19. Provenance: Major. G.E. Moss a native of Lincoln was commissioned in the Machine Gun Corps, May 1917 and returned to the Western Front, he was attached to the 51st Highland Division. He was reported missing in action during the German invasion in 1918, however was actually taken prisoner and on the cessation of the war was ultimately retired from the Army with a rank of Lieutenant. In his professional life Major Moss carried on as a Dentist in his Dental Practice in Forest Town, Mansfield.
