A. Metcalf Hon. Sec. Championships Newport August 1905'. Fully marked on the back. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some minor chips and scratching to the enamel.
Three Victorian Silver Medals, One Apparently Unmarked, Supplied by Spiridion and Sons, Cardiff, Dated 1891; One by J. A. Restall and Co., Birmingham, 1897 and One Unmarked, Circa 1900, each circular and with suspension loop, the first stamped with a coat-of-arms and the legend '100 Miles Cycling Road Club Cardiff', the reverse with an inscription to J. A. Metcalf; the second with the logo of the World Amateur Cycling Championship, the reverse with an inscription to J. A. Metcalf for one mile, Glasgow 1897, the third with a vacant shield below the initials 'N.C.A.F. & T.C.', 3.3cm diameter and slightly smaller, 1oz 13dwt, (51gr) (3) . There is overall some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable to the high points of the NCAF medal.

dating: about 1910 provenance: Austria, Sky-blue, cloth jacket with red collar, cuffs and profiling with stripes in gold-color thread and two stars. Gilded buttons. A bar with eleven orders and medal on the chest, among them a knight of the Order of Leopold with KD and swords and crown on a ribbon, knight of the order of Francis Joseph, cross for military merit III class, cross for merit etc. Complete with scarf with black profiling.Mannequin is not included. height 74 cm.

A WWII Medal Quartet, comprising War Medal, Defense Medal, 1939-45 Star and Burma Star to 10672785 Pte. A Garforth, RAOC The lot also includes a war time Japanese Katana, in poor condition, with authority letter to Pte Garforth to bring home, military records and other ephemera, cigarette case, all contained in a wooden box belonging to a A C Garforth with a key and dog tag, interesting lot worthy of inspection. * Records indicate Alan Garforth was born on 12th November 1922 in Sheffield. He attended school in Hillsborough and worked as a clerk before being called up on 4th December 1941. He served in the ROAC and served time in the Far East before being discharged from The Army on 22nd October 1946.

Derbyshire, in box of issue with condolences slip. *Records indicate Walter Derbyshire, of Lancashire was with 500 Squadron when he died on 30th June 1943, aged 20. He is remembered at Le Petit Lac Cemetery.
