Yeomans of Signals Joseph William Evans RN, J19089 - served in both World War I and II, joined the Royal Navy in 1912 where he trained at Shotley Barracks(known in the Royal Navy as HMS Ganges, and was a naval training establishment at Shotley near Ipswich in Suffolk, starting in 1905 it trained boys for naval service until it closed in 1976) as a junior signalman, in World War I he served on HMS Galatea and won a 1st medal in boxing in 1918, in 1930 he volunteered to serve on submarines and was sent to the Far East on HMS Odin, from 1933-1936 he served on HMS Hood then subsequently on HMS Cairo which was in Narvik Fjord for over a month during the first battle of Narvik, during this time she was hit by three bombs, one of which exploded next to the signal office, Joseph was the only survivor, he retired from the Navy in 1946 and returned to life as a postman in Birmingham. An extensive postcard and photograph album archive with real photographs from his time at Shotley Barracks, to serving on HMS Galatea (to include ships logs) and on HMS Hood and a personal account of Joseph's service written by his Grandson
WW1 British War Medal 1914 - 1918 named to Capt J Mc Manus. No ribbon. (Medal not marked with unit but Medal Roll research would indicate he was RAMC). And a Middle Eastern Coin converted to an ID tag named to 66396 Pte F Bates, Machine Gun Corps, Bagdad 1917 with representation of skyline with Mosques and Palm trees.
WW1 British Medal group: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory medal to 17438 Pte James H Willescroft, 2nd Battl. Queens Own Cameron Highlanders. Medals are unworn in original box complete with ribbons. Includes a photo of the soldier in the kilt and his Certificate of Discharge from 1919. Lied about his age and joined up aged 15.
Cricket Memorabilia: A collection of four cricket medals, two hallmarked with the name J. Scott stamped on one of them. One medal has a cricketer figure on the front, with the inscription "6 Cent. /W/ Shop R.E.M.E. Winners 1945 R.F. Sargeant" inscribed on the back. Also has a mini cricket bat attached to it. One medal is gold in colour with a cricket scene to the front.

Complete with matching miniature medals, spare ribbons, RAF officers rank insignias, RAF buttons, RAF Pugree flash and two Religious medals.

Along with a pair of field made ID disks made from two French Coins named to 2nd Lt. Frank T Withers 1/1 Lancs HB RGA.
British 1949 Pattern Battledress Blouse. Dated 1950. Named to 14445561 Clp Metyard, Assault Pioneer Platoon, SP Company, 1st Battl. The Gloucestershire Regt. The blouse has Clp stripes to each sleeve, one Gloucestershire shoulder title and medal ribbon bar for WW2 and Korean War Service. Some moth damage overall.

London 2012 Olympic Stadium athletics track Lane No.9 marking, a section of the red vulcanized rubber dual layer athletics track installed by the Italian manufacturer Mondo, removed from its position at the termination of the sprint track beyond the 100m & 110m (hurdles) starts, bearing the 'No.9' lane marking in white in the "2012Headline" typeface designed by Gareth Hague for the London 2012 Games, the first time that an Olympic running track was marked with anything other than generic Arabic numerals, measurement approx. 125 by 110cm.; sold with a certificate of authenticity issued by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and the Mayor of Newham (2) The highest placed performance from Lane 9 at the London 2012 Olympic Games was the silver medal spot achieved by the Trinidad & Tobago men's 4 x 100m Relay team, comprising Keston Bledman, Marc Burns, Emmanuel Callender & Richard Thompson. A bronze medal was won by Carmelita Jeter (USA) in the women's 200m. No gold medals were won from Lane 9 at the Paralympics.
