WW2 German Officers group attributed to Lt Friedrich "Fritz" Richard Julius Klaar. Medals mounted as worn Iron Cross 2nd class, Merit Cross with Swords, Honour Cross, Russian Front Medal, 25 Years Faithful Service Medal, Medal of Honour of the Prussian Red Cross III class, and Social Welfare Medal on Ribbon. With a Schlagetershield 2nd type oval with Swords dated 1919/1923. Matching Ribbon bar, original photos, Russian badges, and a few books including a family Ahnenpass. Included is a short history as supplied by the family (who are also the vendors). Born 19/12/1899 in Gross-Ammensleben, Keis Wolmirstedt, Bezirk Megdeburg. Died in Hunex 6th June 1964. On 20th July 1933 he became the Burgermeister and Gemeindedirektoren of Buderich, Germany. He was also a member of the Nazi Party and attended many party rallies stretching from Munich to Nuremburg. Whilst attending a party rally in Munich, he was stabbed in the back with a knife, the perpetrator being a Communist Party Member. The Second World War came along and he was called up as a reservist to the 116th Panzer Division, he was given the rank of Sergeant and within a short space of time he was promoted to Lieutenant. He served on the Russian Front and later the Western Front. Captured by the Americans in the Ardennes he was taken to a POW Camp in France where he served out the last few months of the war. The lot also includes an Austrian car pennant liberated as part of the annexation of Austria March-April 1938 from Miltrruken Kreuz front organisation of the former Chancellor Dr Schuschnigg. Lot also includes various interesting WW2 Russian Banknotes. An interesting lot.

Pattern Euros and Euro-Cents (262 pieces): A hoard of Paris Mint, Etablissement de Pessac Euro essais c.1996-1998. These trial pieces are among the first official experiments into the production of the Euro coinage. There are 26 varieties here, in various quantities as listed below.
