General Service badge, Coronation and Jubilee medals, a gilt, hallmarked silver and enamel Salvation Army medal with presentation inscription 'To J. Mason Porter. JP. from General Erik Wickberg 3rd November 1973', further miscellaneous badges including Sunday School etc.
A WWII miniature medal group comprising War and Defence Medals and 1939-1945, Atlantic, Africa and Italy Stars and Merchant Naval Service Medal awarded to Captain Richard Jones M.N. of Anglesey and a small archive detailing his service. Captain Jones commanded the ship 'Henry Stanley' and left the Mersey November 28th 1942 headed for South Africa, the ship was torpedoed by a German U-Boat and the ship went down in 45 seconds. Captain Jones was the sole survivor and was captured soon after by the Germans, spending twenty-four days aboard the U-Boat and later interred as a Prisoner of War for two and a half years. Captain Jones had previously been torpedoed when commanding the Dixcove when it was attacked by a U-boat and sunk off Madeira, in which he sustained serious injuries. For his service during this incident, he received a King's Commendation for Brave Conduct in 1946.
