Rose & Co Coalport baluster vase with hand painted bird and floral decoration, with applied floral swags, twin handles and gilt-heightened, marked to the base 'Patented by the Society of Arts, the Gold Medal Awarded May 30th 1820 Coalport Improved Feldspar Porcelain' and J. Rose & Co, height 16cm and a blue ground baluster vase hand painted with flora and raised leaf and gilt-heightened decoration, height 24cm (af) (6). CONDITION REPORT Coalport vase: age-related wear in the form of some surface crazing, no obvious signs of restoration. Some loss of gilding, small loss of some flower petals. Royal Crown Derby dish: no apparent damage or restoration, slight age-related wear. Royal Worcester mask head jug: no obvious signs of damage or restoration, some age-related wear. Cider cup: age-related wear, mainly loss of some gilding. Staffordshire spill vase: age-related wear, some small chips to the leaf decoration. Turquoise vase: age-related wear, some fading of colour and loss of gilding. Crude repair to rim, but no missing pieces. Overall surface crazing.
A hallmarked silver enamelled shield-shaped medal, the central panel with shield bearing 'Leicester & Leicestershire Pawnbrokers' Association' to border and 'Chairman' above, hallmarked, on a burgundy ribbon with five bars dating from 1927-51, in original case, marked 'Case's 1 & 3 Braunston Gate Leicester', James Wood & Sons, Birmingham, date mark rubbed, approx 2.6ozt. CONDITION REPORT Ribbon is stitched to the medal.
