EARLY 19TH CENTURY MILITARY DISPATCH BOX, green leather over wood, by 'J.A.B. Punton, 13 Piccadilly', embossed and named lid to 'G.F. Paschal', velvet lined interior, containing a small collection of Georgian and later military brass buttons with hand written paper note (later mounted on card) indicating regiments and dates of some buttons, Bramah lock and key, 12.5h x 37w x 16.5cm dProvenance: Lieut-Col. George Frederick Paschal, 70th Reg. Foot, veteran of both Peninsular War and Waterloo. Thence by descent.G.F. Paschal entered the army as Ensign in 1812 serving with 2nd line battalion of the King's German Legion from 1813-14 including at the Battle of Nive and Nivelle, and the investment of Bayonne. In 1815 he was attached at Quatre Bras to Sir Henry Clinton on 17th June and at the Battle of Waterloo. He became Captain in 1826, Major in 1841 and Lieut-Col. in 1851. He received the Waterloo Medal, Military General Service Medal and medal with two clasps and the Hanovarian War Medal. He also served command of auxiliary police for the Great Exhibition of 1851 and during the unrest that followed the passing of the Common Lodging Houses Act of 1851.Comments: handle missing, generally scuffed. 19TH CENTURY ROSEWOOD TOILETTE BOX, hinged lid with inset gilt brass plaque with engraved initials 'GEP', purple leather and velvet interior, fitted with Old Sheffield Plate lidded cut glass bottles and boxes, all similarly monogrammed, later mother of pearl handled accessories, fitted lower drawer, ebony corner mouldings (one loose, one missing), key, 16.5 h x 30.5 w x 22.7 d cm, with associated Morocco leather folding mirror, 22.5cm h (2)Comments: top split, veneer splits, internal mirror missingProvenance: Lieut-Col. Tim’s art has been collected by marine art connoisseurs around the world. His work is in the collections of many British, American and European Captains of Industry including Ted Turner, Wm. Koch and David Rosow. His book on the America’s Cup has a foreword by Ted Turner and his RNLI Gold Medal Rescue book was commended by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. He was commissioned by the Royal Navy and his largest individual work still hangs at HMS Drake. He has had a limited edition print signed by HRH Prince Philip. He has produced work for European Royalty and HRH Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales attended his America’s Cup Exhibition in London. Tim’s largest project has been the America’s Cup, depicting a dramatic moment from each winning race to date. He has painted Arabian Dhows and historic craft off Oman and around the Arabian Gulf. He worked with the Vasa Museum to show the ship as she would have appeared in her original red livery. He has also been the Official Artist to one of the BOC Races and several of the America’s Cup races. Widely regarded as one of the world's leading marine artists.

Clifton Cottle of London the stepped, oval section jug with angular handle, gilt lined rim and dark blue underglaze lettering, 'Drink only Stranger's Prize Medal Best Quality Minerals', black printed factory mark and moulded reg. des. no., 5 5/8in. (14.2cm.) high; together with three circular lithographed aluminium 'Player's Please' advertising drinks trays, 12 3/8in. (31.5cm.) diameter, one with some corrosion to surface around rim. (4) * Jug: Gilt wear. Glaze crazing to base inside. - Trays: One in good condition, with some wear / corrosion spots to surface to rim edge, a small scratch to rim and a 2in. scratch to yellow ground near centre. One with a number of scratches around the centre of the tray and some wear/corrosion spots to rim edge and three corrosion spots around the 'Player's Please' logo. The third with with some patches of surface corrosion/rust marks to rim and just below rim.

Ernest Race (British designer 1913-64), DA2 upholstered armchair with painted metal legs, width 65cm, height 72cm; also a BA side chair with fabric upholstered seat and pad back, on cast aluminium frame and legs, original paper label and registered design no. 848794 (2)NB: Between 1945 and 1964 over 250,000 BA chairs were produced using resmelted wartime scrap aluminium.
