Edinburgh & Glasgow inter-city league winners medal awarded to J.H. Cross of Third Lanark FC in season 1900-01, 9ct gold, fully inscribed with competition details, weight 9gms. John Halliday Cross was born at Cambusnethan 12th February 1881. The right-half had two spells with Third Lanark and in between played for Queen's Park Rangers in the same team as his brother Willie. At Third Lanark John Cross won a Scottish League Championship title in 1903-04 and played in the 1906 Scottish Cup Final. He was capped once for Scotland and also represented the SFL in an Inter-League match.
An early Scottish football medal awarded to Alex Higgins of Kilmarnock FC for the Kilmarnock Charity Cup in 1886, 10ct. gold, fully inscribed with competition details, weight 6gms. Alexander Higgins was born in Kilmarnock 7th November 1863 and originally was a coal miner. The centre-forward, capped for Scotland, was signed from his hometown club Kilmarnock FC by Derby County to play in the first season of The Football League in 1888-89. He was the club's top goalscorere that season which included scoring four times in the home fixture v Aston Villa. He later played for Nottingham Forest before ending his career back at Kilmarnock. Higgins died on 17th April 1920 the very day Kilmarnock won the Scottish Cup for the first time in their history. His son Alex Higgins Jr. also played for Kilmarncok and was a capped Scottish international.
9ct gold & enamel Dunbartonshire Cup winner's medal awarded to William Walker of Clydebank FC in season 1919-20, fully inscribed with competition details, weight 12gms. William Walker was a Scottish international right-half born at Yoker 18th January 1884. During his career he played variously for Rangers, Clyde, Reading, Clydebank and Fraserburgh. He also represented the SFL in Inter-League matches
9ct gold Western Football League Division 1 winners medal awarded to F Falconer of Bristol Rovers FC in season 1928-29, fully inscribed with match details, weight 14gms. 9ct gold & enamel West Riding County FA Senior Cup winners medal awarded to the Bradford Park Avenue manager Tom Maley in season 1912-13, fully inscribed with details, weight 15gms., still bearing auction house lot tag Provenance: Christie's Scotland, Football Memorabilia, 14th 1989, Lot 10, still bearing auction house lot tag. Before joining Bradford Park Avenue in February 1911 from Manchester City, Tom and his brother Willie were founder members of Celtic FC. The two brothers managed the English and Scottish Cup winners of the same year, 1904, a unique record. Tom with Manchester City and Willie with Celtic.
9ct gold St Albans FC Guernsey Tour medal 1926, inscribed with competition details, weight 6gms. An Easter Tour of the Channel Islands had become a regular feature of the St Albans season. However in 1929 the balance sheet from the annual general meeting at the end of the 1927-28 season showed a deficit of £175. This was mainly blamed on the Easter Tour of the Channel Islands. Taking into account the depression in a national sense there would be no more Easter tours in future.

Often considered one of the best players of his generation, Kopa was an attacking midfielder agile, quick, and known for his dribbling, play making and prolific scoring. Awarded the Ballon d'Or in 1958, in 1970, he became the first football player to receive the Legion d'honneur and in 2004, Pele named him one of the 125 Greatest Living Footballers at a FIFA Awards Ceremony. Silver-plated replica of a FIFA 1950 World Cup medal presented for the participation of Stan Mortensen of Blackpool FC, area of wear to plating along edge and reverse bearing evidence of being stuck down at some point The 1950 World Cup was the first occasion England participated in the FIFA tournament. Mortensen's England cap for the match v USA was sold at Graham Budd Auctions Special World Cup sale in November 2022 fetching £7,000 hammer price.

A Second World War group of 4 medals for service in Western Europe attributed to a Leading Air Craftsman in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. 1939-45 Star medal, France & Germany Star medal, Defence medal and War medal 1939-45, medals unnamed as issued and mounted for wearing on a pin back bar. With a matching set of miniature medals also mounted for wearing (later issues). Medals are accompanied by an R.A.F. Service & Release book named to 1402760 LAC DONALD E MARSH R.A.F.V.R., along with a postcard sent to his wife in Blandford, Dorset, entitled ‘My husband or son is an airman serving overseas – what do I do? With a series of questions and answers. Donald Marsh enlisted on 6th June 1941 serving as a Telephone Operator in Western Europe between 30th June 1944 and 16th June 1945. Returning to the UK he was finally discharged a year later on 16th June 1946.
A Great War 1914-15 trio to a resident of Jersey who served in the Royal Artillery and was present on the island during the German occupation during the Second World War. 1914-15 Star medal ‘76588 DVR. H.N. LAUGEARD R.F.A.’, British War and Victory medals ‘76588 DVR. H.N. LAUGEARD R.A.’, group is court mounted on a pin for wearing. Harold Nation Laugeard was born in St. Helier, Jersey on 15th December 1895. By 1911 he was a 15 year old bricklayer living in St Clement, Jersey. He attested for service in the Royal Artillery on 13th February 1914 and served in France from 16th January 1915. He was discharged due to illness on 21st July 1916 and issued with a Silver War Badge. Harold Laugeard was still living in St Clements when war broke out in 1939 and stayed on the island during the German occupation between June 1940 and May 1945. He died on Christmas Day 1967.

United Nations Special Service medal, United Nations ONUC medal (Organisation des Nations Unies au Congo, 1960-1964), United Nations MONUC medal (United Nations Mission in the Congo, 1999-2010), Order of Leopold II, Knight grade, 2nd type (1915-51, obverse motto in French only) with ‘L’ Palm Branch on ribbon, Order of the Crown, knight grade with crossed swords device on the ribbon, Belgian Blood Donors medal, Gold medal of the Order of Leopold II, 1977 Zaire Operation Shaba commemorative medal with Silver Palm on the ribbon. Group loose mounted on a ribbon bar for wearing. The Operation Shaba medal is not commonly seen, and was issued for a conflict in Zaire’s Shaba (Katanga) Province which lasted from 8th March to 26th May 1977. It began when the Front for the National Liberation of Congo (FNLC), a group of 2000 Katangan Congolese insurgents crossed the border into Shaba from neighbouring Angola. The rebel forces were driven out of Zaire by a force comprising troops from Zaire, France, Morocco, Egypt and Belgium.
