Derby County interest - an East Lancashire Football Charity Cup 9ct gold hallmarked medal, engraved on the reverse 'Winners 1929 G. Thornewell'. Housed in Vaughtons case. George Thornewell was an English International Footballer who played as an outside right, born Romiley, Cheshire, he played for Derby County, and earned four caps for England between 1923 and 1925. Altmann, Melbourne, EF with original case, the interior silk with gilt lettering to the recipient: 'EIZAK PITMAN'. This would likely be Sir Isaac Pitman the inventor of Pitman Shorthand, also known as phonography, who had links with Australia, and often spelled his name 'Eizak'.
