Rare 1903 Scottish Amateur Golf Championship silver medal - Second prize dated 1903 hallmarked rubbed- the obverse is embossed with Vic Golfer at the top of his swing and golf club, and club house in the distances and engraved "Presented by the proprietors of The Dundee Evening Telegraph" and on the reverse engraved "Amateur Scottish Golf Championship - second prize 1903" comes in a period case. A World War I Casualty medal awarded to Sergeant Illingworth 469 of the Manchester Regiment being a 1914-15 Star, Sergeant Illingworth was killed on the 5th June 1915 at Gallipoli and he is buried at the Redoubt cemetery, Helles, including various photographs of Sergeant Illingworth in uniform with other soldiers and a photograph of his grave, together with a Book of Remembrance, a newspaper being the Herald dated 26th June 1915 with a description of Sergeant Illingworth's death also included in this lot is a photograph of Sergeant Illingworth and compatriots in front of the Pyramids in Egypt and some loose photographs of Egyptian life, being the Sphinx and an amusing picture of a man with a donkey with a monkey sitting atop etc
