"For conspicuous gallantry and good leadership during operations near Jenlain on 3rd/4th Nov 1918, During an enemy withdrawal he lead his company in pursuit with great skill, and made ground and captured prisoners, pressing forward in advance of the Division on his left. Unfit for Army service in 1939 he reapplied for service in 1940 gaining the position of Honorary Attaché at Cairo May 1940. Mentioned In Despatches 5th August 1943, served as an Intelligence Officer in the Middle East, Mediterranean, France and Germany. The lot includes many original documents including MID Certificate, Security Passes, Officers Release Book, Passport, etc, etc. Medal box of issue (top damaged).
