A collection of vintage 20th century Royal Doulton collectors cabinet plates designed by Christina Thwaites to include The Wind in the Willows series and The Owl and the Pussy-cat collection. Also accompanied by an assortment of Elaine Gignilliat 'Children of the Week' cabinet plates. Also together with a Royal Doulton The Owl and the Pussy-Cat money bank in the form of an open book. Good condition. Measures 22cm diameter.
A vintage 20th century Coalport hand painted signed miniature cabinet teacup. The teacup being signed for J M. Saucer hand painted by Keith Hancock. Under plate signed by a MP. All with coal port makers mark to base. Together with a hand painted lidded pot signed P. Graves and painted with a pheasant atop a gate.

A very fine 19th Century brass mounted ebonised and maple banded Cabinet or Credenza Base, the arched and star inlaid parquetry pediment with bulbous finials above a glazed door flanked to either side with two bow fronted mirror back bracket shelves on a matching Credenza base with large bonised panel door, the centre with an oval parquetry panel within a brass frame flanked to either side with a bowed glass door, the interior with shelves and raised on a moulded plinth, 7' x 5'2" (214cms x 157cms). Marble chipped and scratched, veneer lost in places along moulding. Splits and cracks to veneer throughout.One key lacking and cabinet locked shut. Small patch repairs throughout interiors and reverse cream painted, dirty overall.
A lacquered, inlaid and gilt-heightened cabinet on stand,late 17th century/early 18th century and later, Japanese, the upper section with foliate-engraved gilt-brass mounts and decorated with warriors on horseback, with a pair of doors enclosing chinoiserie-decorated drawers, raised on a later giltwood base carved with flowers and foliage, and raised on figural supports united by stretchers,86cm wide44cm deep151cm highHas most likely seen some professional attention, alteration and restoration, particularly to the interiors. Splits to tops, sides and doors. Losses and chips to lacquer and inlay. Some mounts loose, bent and damaged. One of which causes the right-hand door to fall when opened. The later stand shows signs of age, with its aesthetic qualities and some elements suggesting an 18th or 19th century date, however there is a thick layer of gold paint to much of it which makes close scrutiny difficult, so we are unable to rile out as to whether or not it may in fact be from the early part of the 20th century but perhaps fabricated from earlier timbers. Viewing in person is highly recommended. Generally sturdy with functional drawers and doors.Measurements above total including cabinet and stand, cabinet alone 76cm wide, 69cm high, 38.5cm deep.

O. vexillariou - there is scracth mark running across the ecntral section of the plate but difficult to see as it runs across one of the white orchids
