The vendor of this lot visited the factory twice collecting all manner of books, prints, plans, furniture and templates. This is one of the items which he collected. It is not marked Beyer Peacock anywhere. We sold most fo the vendors collection in our October auction 2021 lots 1255 - 1295.

Lot 456

A Victorian ebonised and amboyna banded glazed two door side cabinet, 122 cm wide x 41 cm deep x 108 cm high CONDITION REPORTS There is heavy wear throughout to the ebonised areas. The top has a split. There are several large dents / bruises to the woodwork, especially on the moulding at the top. The beading is coming away in several places to the edges of the glass and is missing completely in areas. There is wear to the corners on the bases and losses to the ebonising as well as signs of old worm, predominantly to the bun feet. There is cracking / crazing to the side panels and the left hand column has been repaired as has the right hand column. The beading and trim to the front of the cabinet appears to have been replaced and the interior lining is faded and worn throughout. Otherwise has genearal wear and tear conducive with age and use.
