An 18th Century Chelsea Derby dish form plate circa 1770, hand painted to the central well and shoulder with floral sprays within a cobalt blue and hand gilded running floral border, gilded anchor and D mark, width 24 cm, S/D, together with a similar period shallow dish with an Oriental inspired scene and a later cabinet plate, possibly Coalport with floral spray within heavily gilded borders, S/D, (3).
An early 19c classical revival figured mahogany compactum dining room cabinet, the hinged folding table top with mirrored back flanked by four short open side shelves and with hinged folding side flaps supported by pull out lopers, over a base with one long drawer over a shelved cupboard enclosed by two hinged panelled doors flanked by brass Sphinx cariatids, the drawer with ormolu swing handles having cherub and garland cast backplates, on a plain plinth on block feet, 43" wide closed, 55" wide open, 54"h.
An early 19c rosewood chiffonier with a mirrored architectural backboard, with scroll carved terminals and stylistic leaf and flower pediment, the upper shelf supported by carved S-scrolls to the breakfront cabinet, with a central open adjustable bookshelf flanked by side cupboards with mirrored doors within leaf carved column pilasters and supported on twin foliate carved block feet, labelled and made by I F Meakin, Duke Street, Grosvenor Square, 68"w, 59"h.
An unusual late Georgian mahogany davenport type writing table. The table top is hinged and opens to reveal a leather writing surface with pull out action to provide a ratchet adjusted slope behind which is a fitted pen and ink compartment and a sprung action rising flight of four pigeon holes and seven short drawers, this flanked by the hinged side flaps which form folio compartments with hinged covers. There is a further long drawer over a tambour fronted kneehole cupboard, the cabinet is supported on ring turned slightly tapering legs with castors, it has lion mask ring pull handles and side carrying handles, 26" wide when closed, 52" wide open, 35" high when closed.
* A Meissen tea cup, 18th c., with moulded basketwork border and hand painted sprays of flowers, together with two pairs of Meissen quatraform cups and saucers and one other Meissen cup, all with manufacturer’s underglazed blue crossed swords mark, plus a Continental (probably South German) 18th c. cup and saucer, decorated in blue and white with a hand painted panel of flowers and insects, unmarked, (saucer 12cm diam.), and a miscellaneous collection of Continental and other decorative china, including two cabinet trios (approx. 30)
