A large Vienna porcelain cabinet plate of octagonal form depicting a winged female holding a child surrounded by three cherubs amongst clouds with church in the background, within elaborately decorated and gilt heightened border, marked and titled "From God" to the base, longer diameter 36cm. CONDITION REPORT: Areas of rubbing to the gilt, particularly to the corners of the upper rim, also the plate has got metal wire wall suspension mountings and there are six claws around the rim where we can assume there is minor damage such as rubbing or staining but we are not detaching the claws to check. A few areas of staining, probably caused by metal mounts and some others directly next to the wiring, traces of old label to the base. Some areas of losses to the gilt decoration particularly to one of the larger panels with foliate and floral scrolls.

A 19th century Vienna ceramic hand painted and gilt heightened cabinet plate depicting "Venus Appearing to Aeneas as a Huntress" after Pietro da Cortona, marked to base, signed "G. Forst", diameter 22.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Minor traces of wear to the surface, rubbing to the gilt, particularly around the edge of the rim. Around the main image there is a bead adorned border with some beads with gilt that has losses. This is the intentional way of decorating them.
