A Regency mahogany collector's cabinet, with architectural cornice and two glazed doors over two panelled doors enclosing an arrangement of thirty two glass topped drawers with turned bone handles, W.2ft 6in. D.1ft 4in. H.6ft 7in.CONDITION: Overall in honest untouched condition but with a number of small losses, beading to the edge of the cornice is chipped and missing in one 4 inch area at the front, moulding to the lower left side of the top is missing, a few short cracks and some lifting of the varnish to the sides, top doors are slightly lighter in tone than elsewhere, original lock present but no key, door enclose two slender adjustable shelves, lower section of good rich colour, in both the top and bottom the sides are made of stained pine and show old splits, dents and wear from use, lower front doors slightly warped out of shape, comes with original lock and working key, the two banks of drawers have lost many of their divisions and therefore do not all run smoothly, stands upon what look to be the original turned feet.
A William IV rosewood marble topped side cabinet, width 184cm, depth 45cm, height 129cmCONDITION: The marble top is marked and bruised and there is a loose piece of moulding from the left side which is present. The right hand central door is slightly discoloured, the plinth foot is scuffed with some losses to the left side
An Edwardian marquetry inlaid mahogany bow front display cabinet, width 92cm, depth 47cm, height 196cmCONDITION: The cornice has minor bruising, there are chips to each corner, the right hand door has lost an 8in. section of moulding to the bottom section. There are two small circular dents to the veneer below the door. The bow front base has losses to the front, the drawer has had repaired veneer below the marquetry and there is a small piece missing. There are two pieces of moulding missing from the leg top sections.
Small Oriental cabinet as found; carved wooden box containing two sets of playing cards; small mahogany pocket watch sprung box; metal tin in the shape of a long case clock; box containing small weighing scales and weights including wafer weights; bone carving of a monkey; beetle ware pot; four various hunting knives, one by M&D of Canada 1915; horn and metal bound knife; leather case telescope; brass ladle; four stone eggs. Estimate £50-80.
