Postcards/photographs, European Royalty, an interesting mix of approx. 46 postcards and photographs of eminent Royalty from Romania, Russia and Bulgaria. Includes RPs of Princess Ileana, Crown Prince Carol of Romania, Princesses Maria and Elizabeth, also Princess Elizaveta, Prince Nicolae, Tsar Nicholas with troops, wedding of George of Denmark to Elizabeth of Romania (1921), Silver Wedding of Helen of Russia and Nicholas of Greece; many with correspondence and signatures of Helen etc. Sold with 4 cdv's showing Thüringen - Koburg where Prince Albert was born (3), and Edinburgh Palace where Duchess of Edinburgh lived. Also 2 cabinet cards thought to be Olga Constantinova of Russia (1851-1926) granddaughter of Tsar Nicholas I etc. (mainly gd)
A mid century rosewood record cabinet, with double fall front with shelved interior on slender tapered legs. Height 103 cm, width 102 cm, depth 40 cm. (A10 certificate/number 23GBA10Y571A0). CONDITION REPORT: The cabinet is in good order showing very light signs of use, scratches etc but nothing majorly untoward. The colour of the entire cabinet is very good. Internally the left-hand side top shelf shows some extensive scratching where a piece of Hi-Fi equipment has been, other than this internally it is just showing signs of use.
A late Victorian bleached mahogany pot cupboard/bedside cabinet, with crest rail back and door under on plinth base. Height 77 cm, width 39 cm, depth 33 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This is in good order showing age related wear. There is some staining to the top but nothing major. The backboard of the cupboard is split, Internally the shelf is present and is solid.
Four pieces of glassware and ceramics, a Copeland cabinet teacup and saucer decorated in gilt and floral pattern, together with a Dresden floral and gilt sifter, a Victorian lidded glass jar and a continental glass decorated with a rampant goat. CONDITION REPORT: There are no visible signs of damage, chips or cracks to the Copeland cup and saucer. Some wear to decoration and some scratches and small indentations to the base of the cup. The green glass has two chips to its rim, the cranberry glass item also has small chips to its rim. The Dresden sifter has no visible losses or defects, again just occasional wear to the decoration.
