A very unusual carved Chinese hardwood display cabinet, 19th century, with floral carved pediment above an arrangement of open shelves, a cupboard door and a drawer, each profusely carved with scrolling foliage and flanked with openwork side panels, raised on four ball and claw feet, 66” (168cms)h x 31” (79cms). An inlaid and cross banded mahogany display cabinet, Edwardian, with dentil moulded cornice above an inlaid frieze and a centre bevelled glass panel door, flanked with two bowed sections and a vacant compartment below and a stretcher shelf, raised on square tapering spade legs, 67” (70cms) x 46.5” (107cms). An oyster veneered walnut cabinet on stand, William & Mary period 18th century, the moulded cornice above a concealed frieze drawer, above two doors inlaid with banded concentric circles and nicely figured oyster veneers inside a walnut banded edge, opening to reveal a very impressive interior with an arrangement of ten drawers, on a later stand with kneehole centre and three drawers, raised on leaf carved cabriole legs, with ball n’ claw feet, 58” x 40” (148cms x 102cms). An interesting early 19th c. Mahogany Cabinet Bureau, once built in, probably from a ship, having flat top with moulded leading edge, single panel fall revealing a flight of three mahogany drawers, two pigeon holes and wide shelf, frieze drawer with wooden knobs flanked by manual lopers in turn flanked by half finial corbels, over pair of opposing single panel doors, standing on plinth base. 38`` wide x 48 1/2`` high x 17 3/4`` deep.
A fine and rare HOLTZAPFFEL triptych d/t mahogany wall cabinet with brass trim measuring 51" x 36" when closed and containing 116 gentleman`s ornamental turning tools by Holtzapffel with ebony and rosewood handles (illustrated Russell fig 1043) two blades are missing and one tool a replacement, the finest we have seen G++
