A WALNUT AND FEATHER BANDED CABINET ON CHEST CIRCA 1740 AND LATEROf narrow proportions, the doors opening to adjustable shelves above a fall fronted compartment 189.5cm high, 84cm wide, 39cm deep Condition Report: There are some marks, scratches, knocks, chips and abrasions consistent with age and use.There are losses, restorations and observations including:, some of the current handles are matched; there are two keys; oak drawer linings; some restoration to the feet; there are variations in the veneer cuts, figuring and style, the feather banding and the banding is of different width to the top and the base; some possible later veneers including the band directly under the doors; there is evidence of worm.
