SCOTTISH GEORGE III MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS LATE 18TH CENTURY the rectangular top with a moulded edge above three short frieze drawers, above three long graduated drawers, raised on bracket feet 112cm wide, 89cm high, 54cm deep Note: This unadorned, yet well-made and amply proportioned, chest of drawers is of a type known as the 'Dumfries House Maker', after those supplied to Dumfries House in Ayrshire by a heretofore unidentified Scottish cabinet maker.
