Dolls House - An Art Deco style dolls house. The blue and white four storey dolls house, comes with two occupants and a 'Collie' dog, and measures approximately 96cms (H) x 51`cms (W) x 40cms (D) and features three front opening sections which reveal illuminated rooms (one light appears not to be working) including bedroom, hall, kitchen / bedroom, and lounge area. The house comes furnished with items such as wardrobe, bed, cabinet, kitchen units, settee, chairs and similar. The house contains 'Clarice Cliff' style ornaments, and some items of furnishings from 'The Dolls House Emporium'. Overall the house appears to be in Excellent condition with signs of display and use.

A late 19th/early 20th century oak country house entrance hall stand, shaped pediment above a bevelled mirror plate flanked by brass hanging hooks, the central drawer flanked by a walking stick/umbrella provision with drip trays below, carved throughout with mythical beasts, lion masks, sea serpents, leaves and fruit, raised on carved bun feet. Cabinetmakers plaque verso, Hewetson, Milner & Thexton Ltd, Tottenham Court Rd, London. H235cm, W160cm base, (top 190cm) D43cm. The cabinet making firm of Hewetson and Milner, established c.1835, moved to this address in 1871, owned by the City of London Corporation; in 1887, the business was amalgamated as Hewetson, Milner and Thexton Ltd. Their landlords forced a move in 1901 increasing their rent enormously and they were bankrupt by 1907. Overall in very good condition, showing no damage, worm or restorations, only age related wear & tear including surface stain loss, scratches and nicks.The back unscrews from the base, seperating into two pieces.
Late 19th century Japanese Meiji period Shibayama display cabinet, the moulded cornice with carved and pierced surmount of a origami crane above blue lacquered multi-tiered panels, hand painted motifs with mother of pearl and bone applique, multiple shelves, doors, drawers and central bridge, raised on a carved plinth. H267cm, W154cm, D46cm.In overall good condition, for many years the panels were separated from the carcass, stored in two branches of the family's home, only now being reunited. The carcass is in good condition but needs feeding/polishing and should respond very well.There are some losses to the carved buttress's sections, please examine the photographs.There are losses to most panels, we have tried to show them, again please examine the images. We have shown the bone fissures on the white sections showing them to be bone not ivory, we have used UV light on them as well and they did not appear to light up

Including a mahogany cabinet with 12 drawers containing 12 slides in each of mostly insects (parts, whole specimens, cross sections), with various makers labels including 'E Wheeler, W H Darleston, C Baker, Frederick Enock, Clarke & Page, C M Topping, John Browning, W Watson & Sons etc. Also with three loose drawers with a variety of slides (12 in each), and a box with a variety of other slides. *CR: Mahogany case in poor condition, slides seem generally fine overall. *BP 22.5% (18.75% plus VAT) plus a lot fee of £8 inc. A Large Victorian Binocular Microscope Outfit,English, c. 1890 (from Watson Records), engraved to the rear of the stand 'WATSON & SON, 313 High Holborn, London 1170', the microscope stands on a large brass tripod foot with trunnions to the top supporting the body, at the bottom is a large plano-concave mirror on an articulated arm on a sliding collar, above this is the mechanical substage with X-Y control, focusing and rotation via pinion and large gear, above is the mechanical stage with goniometer stage engraved around the edge 0-360, with X-Y control via rack and screw, with course focusing to the rear of the binocular tubes, nose piece with screw fine focus, Wenham prism in drawer, with interocular adjustment at the top of the binocular tubes via rack and pinion, accessory set containing a pair of binocular eyepieces, 2 Watson objectives, a polariser, and an analyser along with a few other items, all in a large fitted mahogany cabinet microscope height 48cmFootnote: this microscope is a Ross Jackson model microscope No. Ia, which has been retailed by Watson, a careful look at the original handwritten Watson ledger reveals the word Rofs written to the right of many of the early entries suggesting that Watson was a main retailer for Ross.

Vernis Martin style rosewood display cabinet or vitrine, first half 20th Century, the arched top with gilt metal cresting over glazed serpentine door and concave sides enclosing crimson velvet lined interior over shaped painted Watteauesque panels, raised on cabriole supports with gilt metal sabots, 82cm x 47cm x 181cm high There is a small area of restoration on the left side curve between the glass and the gilt cresting and another on the edge of the door frame. There is a crack around 2 inches long on the back right-hand leg about a centimeter out from where the leg joint is. The shelves a possibly not original as they don’t match(one is slightly thicker) and one has a small internal fracture on the left.
