A Louis XV-style marble-topped mahogany standing vitrine, the single door with decorative gilt metal mounts above a Vernis Martin panel of 18th-century lovers in romantic landscapes, supported by slender cabriole legs united by a shaped apron. 65 cm overall width x 40 cm overall depth x 149 cm overall height.The cabinet is in good but dirty order.it comes with it's decorative key.The Vernis Martin panels are in good order, I can not see any obvious signs of woodworm.One shelf has chips to the rear edge and one with a shell chip to the leading edge.Please see the extra images for clarification.

An early 20th century 'Globe Wernicke' style mahogany four-tier modular bookcase, with moulded top above four "window pane" glazed lift-up doors, on a similarly moulded plinth base. 87 cm wide x 136 cm overall height x 34 cm deep.The glass doors are all intact and they lift and slide as expected, the cabinet work has a few small blemishes that are shown in the extra images.One of the rear boards has a bow at the centre see the extra images for clarification.

It has some repaintings.Measurements: 91,5 x 70 cm; 105 x 84,5 cm (frame).We see in this canvas a male portrait of romantic heritage, with a firm drawing, expressive and controlled, and softly nuanced chromatism, especially in the face, where he models the features with great efficiency. It is an energetic face, a reflection of the sitter's personality. The man is dressed in a fashionable suit of the period, with a dark jacket and a white shirt with a high collar. He covers his hands with gloves and holds a burgundy-coloured handkerchief in his right hand. The main figure, who belonged to the upper classes of the time, is depicted against a background of drapery that allows a glimpse of a landscape in the background.As in the rest of Europe, in the 19th century portraiture became the leading genre par excellence in Spanish painting as a result of the new social structures, embodying the ultimate expression of the transformation in the taste and mentality of the new bourgeois clientele. This genre embodies the permanent presence of the image of its protagonists, to be enjoyed in the intimacy of a studio, in the daily warmth of a family cabinet or presiding over the main rooms of the house.
