A Fine George III Mahogany Bureau Bookcase Circa 1760. The bookcase section surmounted by a fretted swan-neck pediment flanking a bust of Brutus above astrigal glazed doors enclosing adjustable book shelves sliding into side grooves. The lower section having a lip-moulded fall front on loper supports opening to reveal a fitted interior with mirror cabinet, pigeon holes, drawers and compartments. The two short and three long cock-beaded drawers below flanked by canted corners embellished with blind-fretwork and terminating on squat ogee bracket feet, 96 ins (244 cms) high, 43 ins (110 cms) wide, 21 ins (53 cms) deep.
