A set of six late 18th century style opaque air twist cordial glasses with gilded rim, funnel bowls and conical feet, each 15cms high (6).Condition ReportOne has four minor nicks to the bottom rim, two have one nick to the bottom rim, all look to be in good condition, the gold rim to all is in good condition, all bowls have some distortion to their shape and some imperfections to the glass, some possibly ground down as base rims vary in size and not so much wear as you would expect but possibly kept safely in a cabinet so not as much wear as you would expect.
A 19th century reticulated porcelain cabinet plate with gilt basket weave rim and central hand painted scene of a bird perched on an alder tree branch; together with another similar with a hand painted scene of a still life of pears, both retailed WP & G Phillips, London, both 23cms diameter (2).Condition ReportBoth plates are in good condition.
A Julian Chichester design Felix media cabinet, the pair of cupboard doors enclosing a shelved interior above an arrangement of four short and four long drawers, 150cms wide, 56cms depth, 226cms high.Condition ReportThere is general wear to this lot, the doors are not warped but the left hand door has a slight chip on the right hand corner. Also the veneer has lifted slightly along the central seam of the left hand cupboard, otherwise good overall condition.

There are minor losses and damage to the veneer in several places.Fabric to the rear on the cabinet in good condition. Glass intact.

The last copy at auction we can trace was in 2010. Kitchiner (1775-1827), optician, cook, and best-selling food writer. He travelled around with his 'portable cabinet of taste', which contained his mustards and sauces, and himself created 'Wow-Wow Sauce'. The present work contains one of the earliest recipes for what we now know as 'crisps' ('Potatoes fried in Slices or Shavings').
