A George I Walnut, Featherbanded and Brass-Mounted Cabinet on Chest, early 18th century, the moulded cornice above two featherbanded cupboard doors with engraved brass hinges and lockplate, enclosing ten oak-lined drawers, the base with two short over three drawers, on compressed bun feet109cm by 56cm by 185cmSide panels split and formerly fitted with brass carrying handles, now lacking. Also side panels with sections of timber missing with some deep scratches, partly filled and polished. Timber slightly dry with minor natural? shrinkage splits around doors - see images. The interior is later painted. Locks and brasses replaced.
A Late Regency Mahogany Serpentine Side Cabinet, in the manner of Gillows, circa 1820/30, with five oak-lined graduated drawers flanked by reeded stiles and moulded cupboard doors enclosing shelves, on turned toupie feet150cm by 60cm by 115cmTop section with numerous scratches, some deep. Right hand cupboard door with movement/small repair. General small faults around cockbeading and dustboards. Left hand cupboard door lower moulded section with fine split. Brasses replaced. Good quality timber. Some of the ivorine escutcheons are dried out and have been removed from the drawers, but are still present
A Teak and Brass-Bound Table Cabinet, late 18th century, of rectangular form, the two hinged doors enclosing an arrangement of ten drawers with brass drop handles, on bracket feet with shaped apron 60.5cm by 43cm by 50.5cm Cabinets of this design are thought to have been made for Dutch Vereenigde Oostindische Compaignie officials in either Batavia (now Jakarta) or Sri Lanka. The metal fittings and the unusual drawer construction are both typical of the form. The design was presumably derived from contemporary Japanese and Chinese lacquer cabinets. A French Mahogany and Gilt-Metal-Mounted Vitrine, circa 1880, in Louis XV/Transitional style, the later red Griotte D-shaped marble top above a plain frieze centred by a female mask, cornucopia vases and acanthus scrolls, the bowfront glazed doors enclosing two removable glass shelves flanked by glazed sides with caryatid mounts decorated with torches issuing flames and musical trophies below, on stout cabriole legs with shell cast mounts and hoof feet111cm by 45cm by 136cmThe marble top is later. Some small areas of fritting and small chips around the edge, so the marble falls short of the back section (see photograph). Cabinet is in good decorative order throughout and there is some very slight fading around the lower section and cupboard doors (as photographed). Some small scratches to the shelves, and with some small marks to the velvet interior. With key.

Left side panel with minor splits?, partly filled. Right side panel with small damage to moulding, also small section of timber missing. Base section with small section of moulding missing from front right corner. Lefthand drawer with section of cockbeading missing. Two small sections of veneer missing to underside of drawers. With one key for the upper section and another key for the cupboard doors.
A Victorian Mahogany, Satinwood-Crossbanded and Marquetry-Inlaid Display Cabinet, stamped Edwards & Roberts, late 19th century, the moulded pediment inlaid with acanthus leaves, scrolls and flowerbells above glazed doors enclosing two adjustable shelves, the base of bowfront form, the top inlaid with flowerbells, acanthus leaves and a landscape, with two drawers below painted with urns and flanked by griffins, on square tapering legs with brass-capped feet76cm by 53cm by 189cmOverall in good condition. Top section with general scuffs and scratches. Back left corner with small sections of stringing missing. Righthand side with small section of moulding missing around the middle. Small sections of veneer reglued. Small scuffs around the legs consistent with age. Drawer fronts slightly faded.

Has general scratches, some ring marks and minor natural? split, as photographed. With three keys and working locks. Backboards seem original but have been ebonised. Modern felt on shelves. Some scuffs and small losses around the moulded base, as photographed. Right-hand moulding damaged. The fabric would not be easy to replace - we would recommend using a restorer for this.
A contemporary bow fronted Mahogany cocktail/drinks Cabinet, the upper portion with a mid height glass shelf, the base with an opposing doored cupboard and all doors having cross-banding, central oval inlaid panels, the top with a tooled green leather surface and protective plate glass, 29'' wide x 19'' deep x 48 3/4'' high and with internal illumination.

The etchings were commissioned for Queen Mary's Dolls' House. Sold together with a letter from Princess Marie Louise to the artist dated September 11 1922 requesting the production of a drawing to be included in a portfolio in the King's Library. Case forms part of the collection attributed to local entomologist George West, this is effectively the field case used by Mr West to prepare and preserve his collection and works.
