A RARE NANTGARW PORCELAIN CABINET CUP & STAND, circa 1818-20, of slightly flared u-shape in parakeet-green ground, with gilt dentil rim and having gilt twin gryphon handles, both elements applied in high relief with a continuous garland of white flowers with their centres picked out in gold, elsewhere sprays of vivid coloured flowers, cup 8.5cms high (one repaired handle) Auctioneer's Note: identical shape and similarly decorated cup and saucer was sold at these salerooms in May 2017 Welsh Sale (Lot 20, £460)

Both cup and stand exquisitely London decorated with circling pink roses and wild-flowers on a bed of luscious-green leaves, the interior of the stand with a small centre spray, within gilt dentil borders, cup 11.5cms high Condition: remarkable fresh condition, without any areas of significant wear to either gilding or decoration, without apparent restoration or damage Provenance: Gifted to present Swansea based vendor at least twenty years ago

To the exterior of the cup an overflowing basket of flowers and an arrangement of fruit and flowers with wild growing flowers in between to a continuous country-landscape and sky, the decoration repeated on the border of the stand, the interior of the cup with a continuous wreath of open roses and gilt decoration and a spray of colourful flowers centred in the bottom, cup 12cms high x 9cms diam, stand 16cms diam Condition: remarkable fresh condition, without any areas of significant wear to either gilding or decoration, restoration to feet Provenance: Steel & Garnett Collection label to base, gifted to present Swansea based vendor at least twenty years ago
A Fine 19th c. Walnut Chiffonier of small proportions, the glazed Cabinet opening to reveal a green painted and floral stencilled shelved interior, raised on four turned and ribbon twist supports above is a single shelf with an intricate fret-cut gallery on three sides. It is believed to have been made by James Rawlings Cabinet Maker of Trowbridge for his Daughter, passing through three generations and latterly being the property of the retired Archdeacon of Norwich. 24'' wide x 50'' high x 13 3/4'' deep.
