An early 18th Century walnut cabinet on stand, the top with moulded edge above a cushion drawer and two oyster veneered and marquetry inlaid doors depicting exotic birds amongst foliage opening to reveal a walnut veneered and cross-banded interior with central cupboard door enclosing five drawers within a bank of eleven drawers on a stand with single slim drawer on barley twist supports to blocks united by a centre stretcher on turned feet, 119 cm x 154 cm CONDITION REPORTS Is in need of extensive restoration - top cornice is missing approx half of the veneer to front edge - although a lot of loose and missing piece present (see image) cannot guarantee all are here. There are cracks and split to the veneer throughout the piece. The side have some fading. The two doors both have splits running vertically down them in several places - see images and veneer to doors needs attention, one door is more faded than the other and is slightly green in colour the other more in keeping with the main piece, doors show sign of shrinkage, interior colour is reasonable and veneer with some small knock and signs of wear but over in reasonable condition, hinges, clock and handles replacements, stand - unlikely legs are original but is in good sound order but show signs of wear for use. Has clearly had some previous restoration in the past.
