nANA & JORGEN DITZEL - a silver bangle designed in 1956, with import marks for London 1965, maker Georg Jensen (post 1945 mark), also stamped STERLING, DENMARK, NJ within D and numbered 111, of hollow plain pointed oval form width 10cm nana and Jorgen Ditzel began working and exhibiting together in 1944. Nana originally trained in cabinet making meanwhile Jorgen trained as an upholsterer. The began to create designs for Georg Jensen in 1954 and shared an aesthetic based on creating comfortable, wearable and simple items.
