Important Archive of Brenda Long Secretary to General Sir H.Ismay (later Lord Ismay) Chief of Staff to Sir Winston Churchill from mid 1944 until the end of 1945. Provides a fascinating insight into the life of a highly competent and personable young secretary working and travelling with key members of Churchill's top team, also includes some very rare and historic passes and documents as well as letters and photographs. Brenda also worked for Lt.Gen. Sir Leslie Hollis, Secretary to the Chiefs of Staff Committee (41-42) and the Treasury (1948) etc. etc. She was a friend/colleague of Olive Christopher, who also worked for the Cabinet team and is mentioned many times in the recent book about her "From Churchill's War Rooms letters of a secretary 1943-45".(she has signed a personal note to Brenda Some of most interesting items from this large collection include Letter from Chequers, and an encounter with Churchill, Account of conditions in Berlin souvenir taking in Hitlers Shelter with photos, photographs of an uninviting Moscow Airfield in October 1944 with photos of Stalin etc.Passes to the Quebec Conference 1943 and rather grand pass to the Berlin Conference of the Three Allied Powers July 1945 etc.

Large and Impressive Imperial German Photograph Album of Royalty / Kaiser Interest, large leather bound album with finely detailed silver leaf tooled House of Hohenzollern Imperial eagle to the front and “UNSER KAISERHAUS” (Our Imperial House). Album contains 60 cabinet size photographs and artist illustrations of members of the Imperial German Royal Family pre 1900 including various examples of Kaiser Wilhelm II, Princesses of Prussia, Crown Princes, Kaiser Wilhelm I, Frederick III King of Prussia, Empress Frederick (Victoria Princess Royal), Kaiserin Augusta Victoria, Prince August Wilhelm, Frederick I Grand Duke of Baden, Prince Heinrich von Preussen, Prince Oscar von Preussen, plus others. Various photographers and periods before WW1. Some damage to the album pages but all images can be removed. Gilt edged album pages and leather album covers edged in silver with four fittings to the back cover.

Great War Report Regarding German Zeppelin Air Raid on 13-14th October 1915, typed two page document marked to the top, “SECRET FOR THE INFORMATION OF THE CABINET ONLY”, details the Zeppelin attack and casualties caused during. The attack was made by five Zeppelins attacking Croydon, Tunbridge Wells, Woolwich, Sandgate, Ipswich and District, Hertford and Guildford. Some folds, tears and rusting from stapled top but an interesting document.
