A Barr Flight & Barr Worcester porcelain cabinet plate, circa 1806, the circular plate decorated with six floral cartouche sprays surrounding a central circular panel against a blue ground, with gilt highlighting, painted marks verso, K.E. Houston collection label, 24cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: Some rubbing to the gilding and minor losses to the paint. There are some glaze scratches including a series of scratches running side to side on the centre section. (see additional images). Incised 'B' mark verso also.
A Welsh oak two section corner cabinet, the top with panelled door enclosing serpentine shelves, the base section enclosing straight shelves, later carved with rope work, masks, armorial shields and guilloche, 195cm H, 85cm WBy repute carved by Dr Evans of The Mount Llanfechain, cabinet maker and local doctor.Provenance: Clynog Farmhouse, North Wales
A 19th century Cantonese lacquered table cabinet, with two panelled doors enclosing five drawers, on bracket feet, 48.5cm H x 43cm H x 22cm D (at fault) CONDITION REPORT: Wear to the gilded detailing throughout, heavier on the top. The doors and frame at the front has some old chips which have been colour touched up. Other chips and knocks to the surface throughout. The upper hinge to the left hand door is defective and will need replacing. No lock internally. Internally brighter. Overall a little tired.
