A MAHJONG SET IN A MAHOGANY BOW-FRONT CHEST, the chest with five drawers and bracket feet. 21cm high, 27cm deep, 19cm wideCONDITION REPORTMah-jong set – four of the drawers are complete with mah-jong pieces, the top drawer contains coloured counters, four dice and four spare mah-jong pieces, the cabinet has a small loss of veneer to top front and several surface scratches but no sign of worm or damage.
AN EDWARDIAN MAHOGANY DRINKS TABLE, the top with twin hinged flaps opening to reveal a rising tray containing tantalus, drinking glasses and cigar box, raised on square-section tapering legs joined by a circular shelf stretcher and moving on castors. 80cm high (closed), 58cm wide (closed), 68cm deepCONDITION REPORTTantalus – the inside of the cabinet is numbered 926/11 but no mention of maker. The wine glasses are a replacement, the decanters look original, they are however locked in their frame, the woodwork has surface scratches and a few marks commensurate with use, there is a crack across the left-hand side of the tray, the rising hinge movement works. The tantalus is locked and there is no key at present
