A NEAR PAIR OF SECOND HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY MINTON CABINET PLATES, one handpainted with male and female Blackcock, the other with cock and hen pheasants, both signed L. Wood, with raised gilt rims and salmon pink and peach borders with gilt foliate scrolls, gilt foot rims, marked X1123 and titled verso, with self adhesive plate hanger remains, diameter approximately 27cm (condition: the adhesive plate hangers are covering the majority of the backs but condition is good overall)
A Chinese Late C19th hardwood cabinet with carved figural panels, opening to reveal 2 drawers & shelf 120h x 115w cm Provenance of lots 1 to 26: Local Vendor – items have been stored in an attic since the 1950s - she inherited the Chinese items from her late Father and Grandfather. Grandfather Frank Miles was a Major in the Royal Army Medical Corp. who was Posted to Hong Kong as Chief Hospital Administrator in 1945. Father was RAF, posted to Singapore in 1959.
